The Natalma Stakes is an American thoroughbred horse-racing event that is run at a distance of one mile on the turf track of Woodbine Racetrack, Toronto. This grade III stakes is open to two-year-old fillies and offers a purse amount of $150,000. It has been decided that winner of the 2008 Natalma Stakes will race in the Breeders Cup Challenge series and will be qualified for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. The race was run for the first time in 1965 on the dirt track at a distance of one and one sixteenth miles and the same configuration of the race continued until 1968. It was first run on the turf track in 1968 and the distance was modified to it’s present one mile in 1980.
