Notes: Thunder Gulch was born 1992 in Kentucky. He is a thoroughbr ed racehorse who won the Kentucky Derby. His sire was Gulch and dam Line Of Thunder. He had previously won the Florida Derby, Remsen Stakes and Fountain of Youth Stakes. Following his win in Louisville , Thunder Gulch also won the Kentucky Cup Classic Handicap, the Travers Stakes, Belmont Stakes and the Swaps Stakes. He retired after he came fifth in the race with Cigar in the Jockey Club Gold Cup. Thunder Gulch’s descendent s, too, have gone on to win many races.
